Professor Xu Yisheng, from the School of Chemical Engineering at the East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) in Shanghai, China, visited the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, on 5th February 2024. During his visit, Professor Xu Yisheng delivered a guest lecture titled "Polyelectrolyte Assembly and Applications." The lecture covered the properties and applications of polyelectrolytes, a class of molecules with diverse uses in various industries. Professor Xu Yisheng also met with the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Acting Head of the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, and several academic staff members. The meeting focused on exploring potential collaborations between ECUST and the University of Moratuwa, including joint research projects, faculty exchange programs, and student mobility initiatives. This visit is expected to pave the way for future collaborations between the two institutions in the field of chemical engineering.
