The Annual Get Together of the Chemical and Process Engineering family, University of Moratuwa was successfully held at Sri Lanka Foundation Institute on 9th of October 2018. This evening paved way for academic staff, alumni and undergraduates to strengthen their bonds and refresh their golden memories at DCPE.
Since the graduation of the 1st batch of students in 1976, the Department has produced more than thousand proficient, versatile, and skilful graduates who are leading local as well as global industries successfully. Therefore, once a year, the Annual Get-Together is organized to gather these competent graduates to share their experiences, exposures and recall those unforgettable memories they had during their life journeys.
Final year undergraduates of the department along with the Chemical Engineering Student Society (ChESS) was the organizing committee and the event was colorful with many entertaining items including dances, fun games, DJ & music. Recently passed out graduates of DCPE (‘13 batch) who have special talents in both academic and extracurricular activities were awarded during the event. The most outstanding student award went to Ms. Rochelle Silva who performed well in academics while devoting for activities involved with ChESS, Gavel club and Rotaract club etc. in an exceptional manner.
