A workshop on "Chemical Management" was held for Technical Officers and Lab Attendants of the Department on 13th October 2022. Mr Eranga Dilhan, General Manager of Sustainable Business at MAS Holdings, Mrs Lakmini Edirisinghe, Senior Consultant at National Cleaner Production Centre, and Mr Dumindu Fernando, Chemical Engineer at National Cleaner Production Centre were resource persons of the program and they shared their knowledge and experience on theoretical and practical aspects of the "Chemical Management" concept. Chemical management is a systematic approach to procuring, storing, using and disposing of chemicals within a facility. Dr. Thushara Subasinghe organized the program as a part of the department's effort on staff development and to build the capacity of the technical officers and lab attendants on the "Chemical Management" concept and application.
