On 4th July 2025, the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Moratuwa hosted an introductory program for Advanced Level Mathematics stream students from S. Thomas’ College, Bandarawela. The program aimed to provide students with insights into future pathways in engineering education and to introduce them to the diverse career opportunities available in the field. Participants had the opportunity to explore the faculty’s wide range of academic divisions and state-of-the-art research laboratories. A key highlight of the visit was the session at the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering (DCPE), where students were introduced to the department’s academic and research culture through guided sessions. They also visited specialized facilities such as the Unit Operations Laboratory, the Microbiology Laboratory, and the Polymer Processing Laboratory, gaining valuable exposure to modern engineering applications and research practices.
