"Department Industry Consultative Board (DICB) Meeting for the Year 2023 of the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, University of Moratuwa was held on 07th December 2023 at the DCPE Board Room with the active participation of the DICB Members from various Industries and the DCPE Academic Staff. The DICB meeting was chaired by the Head of the Department, Prof. (Mrs.) Shantha Egodage and the Discussion Sessions with the Industry Partners on the improvement suggestions for the DCPE Curriculum, Industrial Training Program, and Employment Status/Career Guidance Program/Student Extra-Curricular Activities were moderated by Prof. Shantha Amarasinghe, Prof. P.G Rathnasiri, and Prof. Shantha Walpalage, respectively.
Before the Discussion Sessions, Brief Presentations were delivered on the session topics by the Faculty Academic Committee Coordinator of the DCPE - Dr. (Mrs.) Duleeka Gunarathne, DCPE Industrial Training Coordinator - Dr. Mahinsasa Rathnayake, DCPE Career Guidance Coordinator - Dr. Thushara Subasinghe, and Senior Treasurer of Chemical Engineering Students Society (CHESS) - Dr. (Mrs.) Dilhara Sethunga, respectively.
The DICB members representing different industries provided important thoughts and useful insights on possible improvements for the entire academic program for BSc. Engineering (Hons) Degree in Chemical and Process Engineering.
