The inauguration ceremony was formally opened with welcome addresses by Dr. Mahissasa Rathnayake, Coordinator of the MSc/PG Diploma in Sustainable Process Engineering, and Prof. Manisha Gunasekara, Head of the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering.
Both speakers highlighted the growing importance of sustainable practices in the process industry and encouraged the incoming cohort to be agents of change.
They emphasized the University of Moratuwa’s continued dedication to academic excellence, industry collaboration, and preparing professionals who can lead the transformation toward a more sustainable future.
