UOM holds 34th Convocation

The University of Moratuwa (UOM) held its 34th convocation on July 31, 2013at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) and conferred 1096 Bachelor Degrees, 356 Postgraduate Diplomas, degrees and other awards including four PhDs and five MPhils.

Expose Forum 2013

Expose Forum 2013 will be held on January 10th, 2014 at the BMICH for the 3rd consecutive time. Organized by the E-Club, the official student body of the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Moratuwa, the forum aims in bridging up the gap between the industry and academia in Sri Lanka.

EESoc Panel Discussion - 2013

The Electrical Engineering Society (EESoc) established in 1994, is the social arm of Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of Moratuwa, and serves as a forum for academia, professionals and students. One of the main events of the EESoc is a panel discussion held annually for more than a decade, on a burning issue related to the profession of electrical engineering, with the participation of an eminent panel of professionals, to share information with the undergraduates, professionals and the general public.

Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of The Accelerated Pavement Testing (APT) and Advanced Bitumen Testing Laboratory (ABT)

The ceremony was held on 9th June at 10:00 am, with Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Rahula Attalage as the Chief Guest and Mr. AshokaSiriwardena, Managing Director Bitumix (Pvt.) Ltd. and Mr. Gamini Ekanayaka, Chairman, National Council for Road Safety attended and Prof. U.G.A. Puswewalla, Dean, Faculty of Engineering as Guest of Honour.
