The students of University of Moratuwa made their alma mater proud again by winning the much coveted Imagine Cup Sri Lanka – 2012 challenge trophy after three long years. The last time where University of Moratuwa made this important feat by winning this imagine cup was in 2008.

The University of Moratuwa (UoM) recorded significant achievement when it was placed as the top University worldwide in terms of the number of awards received by students at the Google Summer of Code (GSoC) competitions from the inception in 2005 to 2009.

‘Are You Ready?’ organized by the Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa in Collaboration with the Career Guidance Unit is the main event in the university calendar which adorns its careers’ week.

UoM students won 7 awards at the National Best Quality ICT Awards 2012.

This is to inform the general public that, considering the grievances of many parents, the University of Moratuwa has decided to entertain applications for the Aptitude Tests till  Thursday the 6th of December 2012.

The annual recruitment of 2013 of IET YP Chapter of University of Moratuwa was held on 10th January 2013 at the ENTC 1 seminar room of Electronics and Telecommunication department of university of Moratuwa. With an attendance of 126 current and future members the event started at 11.15 a.m.

Chinese delegates including Prof. Yuan Junping -Chairman of University Council, Prof. Zeng Qingtian - Dean, Prof. Cheng Weimin - Deputy Dean, Mr. Fan Zhijian - Vice Director from Shandong University of Science and Technology visited University of Moratuwa
