The 8th international conference, Moratuwa Engineering Research Conference (MERCon) 2022 organized by the Engineering Research Unit was successfully held in virtual mode from the 27th to 29th of July 2022. The conference featured 151 research paper presentations selected from 299 submissions, with participation from 944 authors representing 19 countries. Three keynote speeches were delivered by distinguished international academics. MERCon 2022 also included eight workshops covering diverse engineering and research areas with more than 400 registered participants. The conference was organized by the Engineering Research Unit and the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Moratuwa with Technical Co-sponsorship of IEEE and Financial Sponsorship of the University of Moratuwa and industry. Selected papers were published in IEEE Xplore.
