VOLTAGE ’25, the official Freshers’ Night of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Moratuwa, was held on 29 January 2025 at the Sripalee Banquet Hall, with the participation of the Head of the Department, senior lecturers, and students from Batches 23 and 24. Organized to welcome Batch 24, the evening marked the beginning of their journey as members of the Electrical Engineering family.
The event embraced a Sherlock Holmes theme, transforming the venue into the iconic 221B Baker Street and creating a unique, mystery-filled atmosphere. The night featured vibrant dance and singing performances, adding color and energy to the celebration.
More than just an entertainment event, VOLTAGE ’25 provided a meaningful space for freshers and seniors to connect beyond lecture halls, fostering friendships and mentorship. It was a memorable evening that officially welcomed Batch 24 into the department’s close-knit community.
