Dr. Lidula N.W. Arachchige has been promoted to the post of Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering (on merit) with effect from 17 July 2020. Prof. Lidula received the B.Sc. (Eng.) degree in Electrical Engineering as well as MSc in Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. She received the M.Eng. degree from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. Prof. Lidula received her PhD degree from the University of Manitoba, Canada. Her research interests include, Microgrids, Distributed generation, Power system stability, analysis and protection, Power system modeling and simulation. The Department likes to congratulate Prof. Lidula on her new appointment and wishes her a long, happy, and rewarding career.
