Prof. Lidula N. Widanagama Arachchige received the President’s Award for Scientific Research at the President’s Award Ceremony held on 21st November 2023 at the BMICH, Colombo 07. She received the Award for highly rated scientific research as evaluated by peers and published in 2020. The recognized paper was on “Protection and grounding methods in DC microgrids: Comprehensive review and analysis” published in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews 2020, vol. 120, 109631. This is an outcome of research conducted by the first MPhil student, Shan Jayamaha supervised by Prof. Lidula N. Widanagama Arachchige. The project was funded by the University of Moratuwa Senate Research Grant
under SRC/CAP/2018/1.
