Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Prof. KTMU Hemapala has been appointed as the new Secretary to the Ministry of Energy in Sri Lanka. Prior to his appointment, he served as the dean of the faculty of Engineering of University of Moratuwa.
The Department of Electrical Engineering congratulated him on his appointment, expressing confidence in his ability to lead the ministry in advancing energy innovation and sustainability. We expect that Professor Hemapala will oversee national energy policies, promote clean energy solutions, and drive efforts to ensure energy security and sustainability, in his new position.
