Department of Electrical Engineering Congratulates Prof. Buddhika Jayasekara for his recent appointment as the Chair of IEEE Sri Lanka Section 2023/2024. He was an active member of various IEEE related activities before this appointment. He served as the Vice chair of IEEE Sri Lanka section for 2022/2023 period and as the treasurer of the section during 2014. Prof. Jayasekara is also an active member of the IEEE Robotics and Automation society.
In March 2023, he represented Sri Lanka as the Chair of the IEEE Sri Lanka Section at the IEEE Region 10 meeting held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on 4th and 5th March 2023. The department wish him successful tenure as the Chair of IEEE Sri Lanka.
