Prakampana ’26 Lights Up the Stage with Talent and Creativity

Prakampana ’26, the annual cultural showcase organized by the the Electrical Engineering Society (EESoc), illuminated the Sumanadasa Courtyard on 7th April 2026 with a vibrant display of music, dance, and drama. For one memorable evening, the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Moratuwa came alive not only as a hub of engineering excellence, but also as a stage for artistic expression.
This year’s event featured an exciting lineup of performances from undergraduate batches 21, 22, 23, and 24, who took to the stage with remarkable energy, creativity, and unity. From soulful musical performances to dynamic group dances and engaging drama, each act reflected the diverse talents and enthusiasm of the EE student community. The academic staff also joined in celebrating the occasion, further strengthening the sense of connection and camaraderie within the department.
The event was attended by the members of the academic staff, whose presence and encouragement contributed to the success of the evening. Their participation highlighted the department’s continued support for student engagement beyond academic activities.
