Dr. Manuja Gunawardana currently affiliated as a lecturer on contract to the Department of Electrical Engineering has completed his Ph.D. with effect from 19th July 2022.
Dr. Gunawardana obtained his B.Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering with First Class Honors in April 2016 from the University of Moratuwa. Upon graduation, he worked as a temporary instructor and a temporary lecturer for eight months at the same university. In January 2017, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Manitoba, Canada to pursue fully funded masters and doctoral degrees. During his M.Sc. and Ph.D. studies, he worked as a research assistant and teaching assistant for five years. He also received several merit scholarships and awards during his higher studies, which include the Manitoba Graduate Scholarship, University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship, Gordon P. Osler Graduate Scholarship and Young Scientist Award 2018 and 2021. He completed his Ph.D. in July 2022 with a GPA of 4.38/4.5. Since December 2021 he is attached with the Department of Electrical Engineering University of Moratuwa.
