The Department of Electrical Engineering proudly inaugurated the January 2026 intake of its Master’s programmes on 24 January 2026. The ceremony, held in the Department Seminar Room, welcomed a talented cohort of postgraduate students across three major streams: Electrical Engineering , Electrical Installation, and Industrial Automation.
Faculty members and staff participated in the event, providing an overview of the programme structure, research opportunities, and departmental facilities. The inauguration highlighted the Department’s commitment to fostering academic excellence, research innovation, and professional development for all students. Dr. Ranga Rodrigo delivered the keynote speech on AI Applications in Industrial Automation.
The Department extends a warm welcome to the new students and looks forward to supporting them in a productive and enriching learning journey in Electrical Engineering.
