The Department of Electrical Engineering hosted an enlightening guest lecture titled “Electrical Engineering – World of Opportunities” on 22nd September 2025 at the Seminar Room. The session was attended by students eager to learn about the breadth of career opportunities in the field.
The lecture was delivered by Prof. Priyantha Wijayatunga, Adjunct Professor of the Department and Senior Director at the Asian Development Bank’s Energy Division. Prof. Wijayatunga shared his perspectives on how electrical engineering drives innovation, contributes to sustainable development, and offers diverse professional pathways across industry, academia, and international organizations.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, followed by the presentation of a token of appreciation to Prof. Wijayatunga in recognition of his valuable contribution.
