EESpire’22 is the official career fair of the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Moratuwa which was held consecutively for the third year. It consisted several webinars which were focused on preparing the undergraduates to face the industry confidently. The first webinar was held on the 16th of May 2022 via zoom. It was headed by the distinguished speaker, Dr. Ravi Wijesiriwardana who was a former senior lecturer at the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Moratuwa, and currently the Senior Vibro-Accoustic Engineer at SUBPAC, USA. He shared his experience on successful interactions in an interview and cleared the doubts about interview-related issues. The second webinar was held on 17th May 2022 via zoom, to give an insight on how to prepare a curriculum vitae that exhibits the full potential of a candidate. In this session, Professor Joseph Rohan Lucas shared his knowledge and insights on how to prepare a targeted CV.
The final webinar was conducted by Mr. Lalith Kahapitiya, founder and chairman of K.I.K group on 20th May 2022 via Zoom. He shared his perception and experience in career development and engineering entrepreneurship. Finally, the career fair was held on 25th May 2022 via Microsoft Teams with the participation of more than 20 companies. It was concluded successfully with the provision of many opportunities for the undergraduates to set foot in the industry.
