EESoc Guest Lecture - Sustainable Electronics: Global Challenge

Electrical Engineering Society (EESoc) organized a guest lecture by Dr. Gamini Mendis, which was held successfully on 18^th October at the Final Year Lecturer room of the Department of Electrical Engineering. Dr. Gamini Mendis shared his experience under the topic, “Sustainable Electronics: Global Challenge”. His lecture included and introduction to globally faced challenges due to the negative consequences of widespread electronics usage such as material toxicity, high environmental costs, and collection and disposal challenges. His lecture also covered the current efforts to mitigate the existing challenges, ongoing research and opportunities for Sri Lanka in the future.
