Dr. Asanka Rodrigo, as the Deputy Chair (Prescient-Elect) of the IEEE PES Sri Lanka Chapter, participated for the IEEE PES Asia Pacific (Region 10) Chapter Chairs’ meeting held in Bangalore, India from 7th November to 8th November 2017. This meeting was held alone with the 9th IEEE PES Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference 2017.
The IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) provides the world's largest forum for sharing the latest technological developments in the electric power and energy industry, developing standards that guide the development and construction of equipment and systems, and educating professionals. Attending this event helped Dr. Rodrigo to stay up-to-date with latest advances in the power and energy sector, hear from international leaders from the area. Most importantly, this visit helped to network with the international professional and academia in the field.
