Introduction
|
The Electrical Measurements and Instrumentation Laboratory focuses on the basics of theory of electicity and electrical measurements to the undergraduates. It was refurbished recently (2021) as a state-of-the-art laboratory in which includes latest equipment models and customized individual workbenches to provide a modernized learning environment that emphasizes hands-on learning experience. This laboratory is mainly at the service for first year and second year undergraduate students, where they become familiar with a variety of test equipment including Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, Voltmeter, Ammeter, Digital/Analog Multimeter, Wattmeter, AC Energy Meter, Variac and Rheostat through practical sessions. The associated subject areas for lab sessions are Theory of Electricity and Electrical Measurements. The Electrical Measurements and Instrumentation laboratory is also used by third year and final year students for their needs of other measuring equipment such as Sound Meter, Power and Energy Analyser etc. as a part of their practical sessions as well as their research and project needs. Moreover, research, consultancy and testing work are also carried out in this laboratory. |
