Computer Systems Laboratory is the only laboratory facility which focuses on enhancing the ability of performing computer-based simulations by the undergraduates of the department. The laboratory consists of over forty personal computers with a server, and it has a study area for the students to work using their own laptops. All computers are installed with the updated versions of major software packages such as MATLAB, PSCAD, PSS/E, PLECS, PSpice, Ansys Maxwell, LOGOSoft, SolidWorks ,AutoCAD and etc, specifically designed for simulations related to electrical engineering, which are used by the students for their academic and research activities. The Local Area Network links most of the laboratories and staff rooms of the department and has internet facility through the campus/ LEARN network. The Computer Systems Laboratory is used by both undergraduate and postgraduate students for their assignments, project work, internet access, email as well as word-processing. This laboratory facility is also used to hold academic seminars and other sessions organized by the department.
