University of Moratuwa offers an one year post graduate diploma course leading to a Masters Degree in Urban Design in two years. The aim of this course is to impart knowledge towards achieving competence in the art of Urban Design and create awareness of the skill amongst the allied disciplines. This course is ideal for early and mid career persons with strong emphasis on Urban Design education.
This course helps to develop professionals who are capable of seeing the city from multiple viewpoints and who relish working with interdisciplinary teams. The course equips students with the skills necessary to undertake design research and to learn about urban history, theory, urban design principles and fundamentals and communication methods.
