1.MoU with MAC Holdings Private Limited
We are delighted to declare that the Department of Transport and Logistics Management (TLM) and MAC Holdings Private Limited entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 05th October 2022 at the University of Moratuwa-Department of Transport & Logistics Management premises.
Professor Asoka Perera, Head of the Department of Transport and Logistics Management, signed on behalf of the Department, while Andre Fernando (Managing Director) signed on behalf of MAC Holdings (Pvt) Ltd.
The MoU entails various mutual benefits to the Department of Transport and Logistics Management and MAC Holdings. Accordingly, MAC Holding provides access to student professional development and learning sources via internship opportunities, mentoring sessions, and technical events that enhance the employability of undergraduates. Further, research collaborations with MAC Holding would add enormous value for the supply chain and logistics field.
The MoU was initiated by Mr. Harsha Chamara from the University of Moratuwa – Department of Transport & Logistics Engineering.
2.MoU with Nestle Lanka PLC
We are delighted to declare that the Department of Transport and Logistics Management (TLM) and Nestlé Lanka PLC entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the 7th of October 2022 at the Department of Transport and Logistics Management premises in the University of Moratuwa. Professor Asoka Perera, Head of the Department of Transport and Logistics Management, signed on behalf of the Department, while Mr. Sathiyenthra Panchadcharam, Vice President – Supply Chain, and Ms. Enoca Sirimanne, Vice President - Human Resources, signed on behalf of Nestle PLC. The MoU entails various mutual benefits to the Department of Transport and Logistics Management and Nestlé Lanka PLC, including internship opportunities, technical sessions, and mentoring sessions that enhance the employability of undergraduates. Exchange projects and collaborative research would support making a significant contribution to the supply chain and logistics field. This MoU was initiated by Dr. Ranil Shanaka Sugathadasa, Prof. Nilès Perera, and Prof. Amila Tibbotuwawa from the University of Moratuwa - Department of Transport & Logistics Management.
