Experience in active research in big data and applying its use in transport for the last 3 years. Experience with LIRNEasia in researching the use of MNBD for identifying mobility patterns. Current supervision of a MSc student researching along the same lines of identifying work trips in the Western Province. Current data gathering exercise in bus transport big data from electronic ticket machines and GPS under the Sahasara project for the analysis to be done on several operational KPIs to improve service.
