The proposed journal to be initiated by the University of Moratuwa is titled as "Serendipity", which is a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary journal with six sub-sections as illustrated.
Aim of the Journal Sections
Section A - Built Environment
Built Environment is a Section of Serendipity that is fully dedicated to publishing valuable research in the fields of the built environment. It is an international journal that publishes high-quality peer-reviewed original research papers, case studies, review articles, and other contemporary articles related to built environment design, production of the built environment and construction practices, its operation, and sustainable construction.
The journal welcomes papers on the topic of built environment education, and innovative and multi-disciplinary studies promoting an integrated approach to planning, design, construction, and operation of buildings.

The Computing section of Serendipity is to disseminate and communicate original scientific research and impactful discoveries including both theoretical and apllied computing problems. This section not only welcomes submissions for from fundamental areas of Computing but also encourages those that focus on the applications of Computer Science to other research domains which presents novel opportunities to foster interdisciplinary research within the Computational Sciences. This will help experts and researchers stay abreast of all areas in the rapidly evolving field of Computing.

Thus, the published papers will report on both fundamental research dealing with theoretical work and applied research dealing with practical issues and industrial innovations in natural, human, societal, or built environments. The section also takes interest in the ways that business innovation can be manifested such as product innovation, process innovation, marketing innovation, and organizational innovation so that it can contribute to innovative business practices and build a repository of knowledge.
The journal welcomes both theoretical and empirical work as well as case study research. Original papers are invited that are based on a solid theoretical basis and a rigorous methodology. In the area of empirical studies, the journal publishes both quantitative and qualitative research

Section F - Medical Sciences
The Medical Sciences section of Serendipity publishes research study types, from protocol through Phase I trials to meta-analyses, including small, specialist studies, and negative studies in all disciplines involving the medical sciences and biomedical technology. Furthermore, we also welcome reviews (narrative, systematic, and scoping), novel case reports, or series which have a significant medical impact concering new knowledge. Preference will be given to original studies. The medical sciences shall include disciplines in basic sciences para-clinical and clinical sciences

- Panel Reviewers
Currently the Journal Editorial Board is being appointed and negotiations being done with an appropriate reputed publisher to publish the journal.
