The DAAD (Deutscher  Academischer  Austausch Dienst, German Academic Exchange Service)  is the world's largest funding organization for the international exchange of students & researchers which consist of regional offices funding for exchange programs all over the world. Dr. Manjula Mundakana, Senior Adviser for Consulate General for Germany in Bangalore, India and Mr. Jorn Rohde, German Ambassador for Sri Lanka, visited University of Moratuwa on 08th March 2017 as representatives of DAAD.

Dr. Jawad Syed, the Dean & Professor of Suleman Dawood School of Business ,Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan visited University of Moratuwa (UOM) on 10th March 2017 as a part of their international expansion strategy to network with academic institutions and to enroll Sri Lankan students to MBA programs of LUMS under full scholarships funded by Asian Development Bank. LUMS is keen on building partnerships in the areas of research collaborations, faculty collaborations and other forms of partnerships. Prof. Han Baokun, Vice Dean of College of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, Prof. Chen Qingguang, Director of Department of Mechanotronics and Prof. Yang Jurru, Director of  Department of Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering, Shangdon University of China visited University of Moratuwa on 25th April 2017 and discussed matters related to staff and student exchange programs, joint research programs and research center concept on mechatronics.
