Expose Forum 2013 will be held on January 10th, 2014 at the BMICH for the 3rd consecutive time. Organized by the E-Club, the official student body of the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Moratuwa, the forum aims in bridging up the gap between the industry and academia in Sri Lanka.
Expose Forum, commonly known as E-Forum will build an arena where the undergraduates, the alumni and the industry can formally interact, to strengthen the understanding between each other. Universities are one of the forces that drive the industry and hence it is of great importance that these parties involve in continuous discussions. The forum will create awareness of the industry needs with the sharing of knowledge and experience in relative fields of engineering, while discussing the trends and new opportunities emerging in the outside industry. These discussions will eventually help in shaping up the industry in Sri Lanka and updating the academic curriculum accordingly.
The theme of E-Forum 2013 is focused on Biomedical Engineering, High-Performance Computing and Industrial Automation. The panel for the day will include, Mr. UdenaWickramasooriya, Director of Brandix Lanka, Mr. PrasanthaKularathna , CEO of Premium International, Mr. AjitSamaranayake, Chief Scientist of Millennium Information Technologies, Dr. HarshaSubasinghe ,CEO of CodeGen and Prof. KapilaJayasinghe and Prof. Dileeka Dias from the department.
Chancellor ,Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice Chancellor of the university and the Dean of the Engineering Faculty will grace the occasion.
The E-Forum 2013 will provide the opportunity to expose the skills and talents of the undergraduates to the public and the industry. The best final year undergraduate projects will be showcased, giving the flavor of innovation and the cutting edge technologies which are currently being deployed.
