Academic staff of the department will contribute to the integrated training program from Phase I and the main teaching program will start from Phase II : Applied Sciences Stream in each relevant modules.
During the clinical rotations of Phase II trainees will have hospital based training in General Surgery, Anaesthesia, Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Accident and Emergency Service and Neurosurgery. Phase III: Professorial appointment will be based in the University Surgical Unit in Teaching Hospital Kalutara.
