The CCNA curriculum in Cisco Networking Academy is designed for those seeking entry-level ICT jobs or preparing for specialized skills. It covers a range of networking topics, providing hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting basic IPv4 and IPv6 networks. The course includes LAN and IP router configuration, security, redundancy, WAN connectivity, OSPF configuration, and device management. Interactive learning tools enhance the experience.
For every student who does well in all three courses, a voucher for a discount will be offered to finish the CCNA career certificate. This is not something that UoM can manage. The Cisco Networking Academy USA is in charge of it.
The course "Introduction to Networks" spans over 70 hours and provides an in-depth understanding of the architecture, structure, functions, and components of the Internet and other computer networks. Through this course, students can learn the fundamentals of network operations, how to build basic local area networks (LAN), perform elementary router and switch configurations, and implement Internet Protocol (IP).
CCNA: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials
The course "Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials" spans over 70 hours and teaches the fundamental concepts of routers, switches, and wireless local area networks (WLAN) along with security essentials. It covers the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in small networks, and provides an insight into configuring and troubleshooting routers and switches for advanced functionality using security best practices. Additionally, the course teaches how to resolve common issues with protocols in both IPv4 and IPv6 networks.
CCNA: Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation
The course titled "Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation (70 Hours)" covers the fundamentals of the architecture, components, operations, and security measures involved in scaling up large, complex networks. The course includes an in-depth study of wide area network (WAN) technologies, and focuses on network security concepts. It also introduces the concepts of network virtualization and automation. During the course, students will learn how to configure, troubleshoot, and secure enterprise network devices.
