Australia Awards Scholarships

Australia Awards Scholarships are long-term awards administered by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. They aim to contribute to the development needs of Australia’s partner countries in line with bilateral and regional agreements.

They provide opportunities for people from developing countries, particularly those countries located in the Indo-Pacific region, to undertake full time undergraduate or postgraduate study at participating Australian universities and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions.

Priority districts and the priority areas of study for Sri Lanka can be found in the web site, Australia Awards Sri Lanka ( https://www.dfat.gov.au/people-to-people/australia-awards/participating-countries/sri-lanka-information-for-intake )

The UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. We created the Higher Education and the SDGs Challenge Grants to enable ACU member universities and their staff to contribute to this agenda, and we've just opened the latest application window. This is just one of a number of valuable opportunities highlighted in this edition.

Also included are details of three leaders in higher education and international relations who will be joining our India Roundtables as guest speakers - there's still time to register to attend these events - plus, news of a launch event for our new Equitable Research Partnerships Toolkit - a unique collection of research relationship resources.
