The Ministry of Science & Technology hosted a team of delegates from the Institute of Information Technology (IIT) New Delhi, India in November 2018 which included a week of activities at the UOM, from 12th November to 19th November 2018. The programme came within the purview of the Indo-Lanka project and commenced with a meeting between Prof. S.N Naik and Dr. Megha Mathur from IIT and the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Director/International Relations and other academic staff members from UOM on 12th November 2018.
The Project Team for the programme consisted of a team of representatives from the Department of Chemical & Process Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering of University of Moratuwa and IIT representatives.
The Programme was co-ordinated by Prof. R.A. Attalage, the former Deputy Vice Chancellor of UOM and and Dr.Thilini U.Ariyadasa of Department of Chemical and Process Engineering and was a great success.
