Prof. Kazuo Yamamoto, President of Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand (AIT) visited the University of Moratuwa on 15thNovember 2022 and met with the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Moratuwa, Prof. N.D. Gunawardena. He was accompanied by Mr. Sanjeev Jayasinghe, Director/Office of Advancement & Alumni Affairs and Assistant to the President, and Ms. Sirikate Owasit, Senior Advancement Officer/Office of Advancement & Alumni Affairs.
Aisian Institute of Technology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka to partly fund 24 months Master’s programme at AIT for junior academics of National Universities in Sri Lanka. The focus of the discussion was the recruitment procedure and the opportunities available through this MOU. Dr. D.P. Chandrasekara, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the Unviersity of Moratuwa, Prof. K.T.M.U. Hemapala, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof.(Mrs.) Y.G. Sandanayake, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Mr. B.H. Sudantha, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Prof. S.W.S.B. Dasanayaka, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Prof. W.D.G. Lanarolle, Director, International Relations, and Ms. Y.S. Karunarathne, Assistant Registrar/External Affairs, Publicity and International Student Promotion Division were also present at the discussion.
