The University of Moratuwa (UOM) held its 34th convocation on July 31, 2013at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) and conferred 1096 Bachelor Degrees, 356 Postgraduate Diplomas, degrees and other awards including four PhDs and five MPhils. Thirty students who followed the MBA in Management of Technology (MOT) programme also obtained their degrees at this convocation. This is the highest number to have graduated at any convocation since the inception of this programme in 2001. Chancellor Vidya Jyothi Prof. KKYW Perera declared the Convocation 2013 open.
