The Foundation Stone for a New Hostel Building was laid on 25th April 2014 at the premises of University of Moratuwa. This occasion was graced by Vidya Joythi Prof. KKYW Perera, Chancellor of the University of Moratuwa as the Chief Guest along with the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Actg, Registrar, Deans of Faculties and all the Academic and Administrative Heads. The Building will be a 4 storey one, with 100 rooms that would be accommodating 200 students. The Contractor for the building is International Construction Consortium (Pvt.) Ltd. (ICC). The expected period of construction is 12 months at an estimated cost of around Rs. 196 million.
