Delegates from DAAD visit University of Moratuwa

The DAAD (Deutscher  Academischer  Austausch Dienst, German Academic Exchange Service)  is the world's largest funding organization for the international exchange of students & researchers which consist of regional offices funding for exchange programs all over the world. Dr. Manjula Mundakana, Senior Adviser for Consulate General for Germany in Bangalore, India and Mr. Jorn Rohde, German Ambassador for Sri Lanka, visited University of Moratuwa on 08th March 2017 as representatives of DAAD. The discussions were held on staff and student exchange programs and joint degree programs.UOM specified its research interests as Renewal Energy, Nano Technology to Electronic Materials, Building Services and Biomedical Engineering.

The Vice Chancellor,Professor Ananda Jayawardane presided the meeting which was attended by the Deans of Faculties, the Director, International Affairs  and Dr. Janaka Wijesundara, Senior Lecturer, Department of Architecture and the research ambassador for DAAD.
