Mr. MBCM Gawarammana of Department of Architecture won both ‘The best Design Impact Award (International level)’ & ‘Gold Medal ( National level)’ at AYDA (Asia Young Designer Award Competition organized by NYPPON Paint for his final year Comprehensive Design Project, 2019, ‘Cultural and Industrial Exposure, Gem Promotional Center @ Rathnapura’.
The whole award winning design project was based on the theoretical position in which, additive architectural components can lead to reflect any cultural statement while fulfilling the fictional aspects which relates. The main idea behind this design thesis is to reveal the real treasure in the gem industry which the majority fail to see. The project has come up with a methodology to promote gem industry in the best possible manner.
