About Us

The Industrial Training Division of the Faculty of Engineering is an independent service unit functioning under the Director, Industrial Training. It is located on the first floor of the Dr. L.H. Sumanadasa Building. It is also adjacent to the office of the Dean, Faculty of Engineering at the University of Moratuwa.

The industrial Training Division of the University of Moratuwa (UOM) coordinates with the National Apprentice & Training Authority (NAITA) to offer Industrial Training placements for all undergraduates of the Faculty of Engineering. In addition it facilitates students to become Student / Associate members of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL).

 

It is mandatory that all undergraduates after completion of their Level 3 examinations also undergo 24 weeks of industrial Training (Module No. 3990) and obtain 6 Non-GPA credits for the award of a B.Sc. (Honours) Degree from the Faculty of Engineering.
