UpuliDr. Upuli Jayatunga joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Moratuwa in the capacity of a lecturer in 2006. She received the BSc Eng Degree in Electrical Engineering with a First Class Honors in 2003 from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Soon after the graduation, she joined the Lanka Transformers Pvt. Ltd as an Electrical Engineer. She rendered her service to LTL Projects division under ABB Norway and carried out grid substation design and construction work. 
Dr. Jayatunga completed the MSc in Electrical Engineering Degree in 2008 from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. She is a Charted Electrical Engineer and a member of Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL). She received the prestigious IPRS (International Postgraduate Research Scholarship) in 2010 from the Australian government to pursue her PhD at the University of Wollongong, Australia.
Her research interests include Power Quality, Power systems modeling analysis and protection.
