Dr. Dedduwa Pathiranage Chandima received his B.Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering with First Class Honors in 2001 from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Soon after the graduation, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Moratuwa as a probationary lecturer in 2002. In 2003, He received Japanese Government Monbukagakushou Scholarship to pursue postgraduate studies at Saga University, Japan.
Dr. DP Chandima received his MEng Degree in Advanced Systems Control Engineering and PhD Degree in Robotics and Intelligent Systems in 2006 and 2009 respectively from Saga University, Japan. After completing the postgraduate studies, he returned to the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Moratuwa and was promoted to the Senior Lecturer GII in 2009 and promoted to the Senior Lecturer GI in 2015. His research interests include estimation theoretic mobile robot navigation algorithms, multi-target tracking and data association.
