The Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony for the Student Centre & Canteen Extension Building of the University of Moratuwa was held on 14th August 2014. with the participation of the Chancellor of the University Vidya Jyothi Emiritus Professor K.K.Y.W.Perera (Chief Guest),

Representative of Keimyung University, Korea, Mr. Jung, Chul Jong together with representive from Thilange Sumathipala foundation visited the University of Moratuwa on September 02nd 2014 to discuss about School Supportive Programme named “Development of School” within the perspective of an overall collaboration programme involving research, student – staff exchange etc.

35th General Convocation of University of Moratuwa was held on 28th of August 2014 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall. (BMICH)
