Publication in IEEE RO-MAN 2019

When

A research paper titled “An Exploratory Study on Proxemics Preferences of Humans in Accordance with Attributes of Service Robots ’’ was presented at the 28th IEEE International Conference on Robot and Human Interactive Communication (RO-MAN) held from Oct 14 - 18 in New Delhi, India by Mrs. S. M. B. P. Samarakoon, who was a research assistant at the Center of Advanced Robotics, University of Moratuwa. Currently, she is a Ph.D. student at SUTD, Singapore. The paper was compiled based on the research work conducted in Intelligent Service Robotics Group, University of Moratuwa. The paper was co-authored by Dr. A.G. B. P. Jayasekara, Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Dr. M. A. V. J. Muthugala, SUTD, Singapore, and Prof. M. R. Elara, SUTD, Singapore.

Visit of Delegation from Incheon National University, Korea


A team of delegates from Incheon National University (INU), Korea visited the University of Moratuwa  (UoM) on 29th October 2019.

The Team consisted of Prof. Hyunchul Kang, Dean of College of Information Technology, INU,  Prof. Kyungkoo Jun, Vice Dean of College of Information Technology, INU, Prof.  Song Noh, Assistant Professor, Department of Information and Telecommunication Engineering INU, Dr. Hyunchae Chun, and Assistant Professor, Department of Information and Telecommunication Engineering, INU.
