COURSE OBJECTIVES

CCNP helps students develop the skills needed to succeed in IT-related degree programs and prepare for the Cisco CCNP certification. It provides a theoretically rich, hands-on learning experience covering advanced routing, switching, and troubleshooting skills.

The goals of the CCNP curriculum are as follows:

  • Provide an in-depth, theoretical overview of advanced routing, switching, and troubleshooting.
  • Equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to design and support complex enterprise networks.
  • Provide an experience-oriented course that employs industry-relevant instructional approaches to prepare students for professional-level jobs in the industry.
  • Enable students to gain significant hands-on interaction with IT equipment to prepare them for certification exams and career opportunities. 

There are two (02) modules in the CCNP Enterprise certification.

IMPLEMENTING CISCO ENTERPRISE NETWORK CORE TECHNOLOGIES (ENCOR 350-401)

Implementing Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies v1.0 (ENCOR 350-401) is a 120-minute exam associated with the CCNP and CCIE Enterprise Certifications. This exam tests a candidate's knowledge of implementing core enterprise network technologies, including dual-stack (IPv4 and IPv6) architecture, virtualization, infrastructure, network assurance, security, and automation. The course, Implementing Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies, helps candidates prepare for this exam.

IMPLEMENTING CISCO ENTERPRISE ADVANCED ROUTING AND SERVICES (ENARSI 300-410)

Implementing Cisco Enterprise Advanced Routing and Services v1.0 (ENARSI 300-410) is a 90-minute exam associated with the CCNP Enterprise Certification. This exam certifies a candidate's knowledge for implementation and troubleshooting of advanced routing technologies and services, including Layer 3, VPN services, infrastructure security, infrastructure services, and infrastructure automation. The course, Implementing Cisco Enterprise Advanced Routing and Services, helps candidates prepare for this exam.

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for CCNP Enterprise. However, you should have a good understanding of the basic IPv4 and IPv6 networks, including configuring a LAN switch and an IP router.

CCNP candidates often also have three to five years of experience implementing enterprise networking solutions.

    CYBEROPS ASSOCIATE - ONLINE

    The Cisco Cybersecurity Operations Associate (Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate) course is designed for Cisco Networking Academy® students seeking career-oriented, entry-level security analyst skills. Target students include individuals enrolled in technology degree programs at institutions of higher education and IT professionals who want to pursue a career in the Security Operation Centre (SOC).

    University of Moratuwa Cisco Networking Center will offer Cloud Security curricular also with the CyberOps Associate program. This course provides a broad overview of cloud security and allows students to gain critical insights into how security issues change in the cloud, including data security, key management, and identity and access management.

    COURSE OBJECTIVES

    CyberOps Associate

    Cybersecurity Operations covers knowledge and skills needed to successfully handle the tasks, duties, and responsibilities of an associate-level Security Analyst working in a Security Operations Center (SOC). Upon completion of the Cybersecurity Operations course, students will be able to perform the following tasks:

    • Explain the role of the Cybersecurity Operations Analyst in the enterprise.
    • Install virtual machines to create a safe environment for implementing and analyzing cybersecurity threat events.
    • Explain the Windows Operating System features and characteristics needed to support cybersecurity analyses.
    • Explain the features and characteristics of the Linux Operating System.
    • Analyze the operation of network protocols and services.
    • Explain the operation of the network infrastructure.
    • Classify the various types of network attacks.
    • Use network monitoring tools to identify attacks against network protocols and services.
    • Use various methods to prevent malicious access to computer networks, hosts, and data.
    • Explain the impacts of cryptography on network security monitoring.
    • Explain how to investigate endpoint vulnerabilities and attacks.
    • Evaluate network security alerts.
    • Analyze network intrusion data to identify compromised hosts and vulnerabilities.
    • Apply incident response models to manage network security incidents.

    With the curriculum, students get the knowledge about core security skills needed for monitoring, detecting, investigating, analyzing and responding to security events, thus protecting systems and organizations from cybersecurity risks, threats and vulnerabilities.

    Cybersecurity Operations is a hands-on, career-oriented course with an emphasis on practical experience to help students develop specialized skills to successfully handle the tasks, duties, and responsibilities of an associate-level Security Analyst working in a Security Operations Center (SOC).

    For every student who does well, a voucher for a discount will be offered to finish the CyberOps Associate career certificate. This is not something that UoM can manage. The Cisco Networking Academy USA is in charge of it.
