The Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Moratuwa conducts this programme. Teaching is carried out by our well-experienced staff together with academics from other universities and institutions. The programme has been designed to assist engineering graduates who are looking for a career in the energy sector and enhance existing career prospects through part-time study. This programme consists of a combination of compulsory modules and optional modules and a research project. The research project is only available for studies towards MEng. All lectures, practical sessions, presentations, industrial visits, and examinations will be conducted on Fridays and Saturdays.

Entry Requirements:
For PG Diploma
The Degree of Bachelor of Science of Engineering of the University of Moratuwa in Mechanical Engineering / Materials Science and Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Electrical
Engineering;
OR
Any other engineering degree of at least four years of duration, from a recognised university, in a relevant fi eld of specialisation as may be approved by the Senate;
OR
Any recognised category of membership of a recognised professional institute, obtained through an academic route, with a minimum of one year of recognised appropriate experience
obtained after the membership, as may be approved by the Senate. Eligibility For Master of Engineering The award of the above postgraduate diploma in energy technology with an overall GPA not less than 2.5
