English to Sinhala machine translation with multi-agent technology

Budditha presents a novel approach to MT that models the human language translation process. His MT system processes morphology, syntax and semantics interactively, like humans, rather than sequentially, as in current MT systems. He applies Multi-Agent Technology to translate English to Sinhala, in this way, which he named EnSiMAS. A statistical approach was taken to test the accuracy of translation. The adequacy and fluency of the best solution were evaluated with human support. |
