Postgraduate Diploma / M.Sc. in Telecommunications

Applications are called from suitably qualified candidates for the above course commencing in March 2015

Eligibility Requirements
a). B.Sc. Engineering degree of University of Moratuwa, in a relevant field as judged by the Faculty and approved by the Senate, OR
b). Any other Engineering degree in a relevant field and equivalent to (1) as judged by the Faculty, and approved by the Senate, OR

 

c). A professional qualification of a recognized professional institute in a relevant field AND a minimum of one year of appropriate experience after obtaining such qualification: the acceptability of the professional qualification of the candidate, the recognition of the institute and the relevancy of the field for this purpose shall be judged by the Faculty and approved by the Senate.
 
Duration: M.Sc. is a six term, two year part time or three term, one year full time course.
 
Part-Time M.Sc. Course:
The first three terms consist of the core part of the taught component conducted on Weekday evenings in Colombo, and on Saturdays at the University. Those, who successfully complete the examinations, assignments, mini-projects and seminars, will be eligible for the award of a Postgraduate Diploma. Candidates, who meet the eligibility requirement of the M.Sc., will complete a research project during the subsequent three terms (second year) and upon successful completion will be awarded M.Sc. Degree.
 
Full-Time Course:
Candidates may also complete the M.Sc. program in one year on a full-time basis, where the first year and the second year work will be carried out simultaneously.

Tuition Fees:
Part-time MSc course :1st Year –  Rs. 300,000/=
                                    2nd Year – Rs. 75,000/=
Full-time MSc course :                  Rs. 375,000/=
