Course objectives

The CCNA curriculum in Cisco Networking Academy is designed for students who are seeking entry-level jobs in the ICT industry or hope to fulfill prerequisites to pursue more specialized ICT skills. CCNA provides extensive coverage of networking topics, from fundamentals to advanced applications and services, with plenty of opportunities to gain hands-on practical experience and develop career skills. In each course, students learn technology concepts with the support of interactive media and apply and practice this knowledge through a series of hands-on and simulated activities that reinforce learning.

This course teaches learners how to install, operate, configure, and verify a basic IPv4 and IPv6 network, including configuring a LAN switch, configuring an IP router, identifying basic security threats, understanding redundant typologies, troubleshooting common network issues, connecting to a WAN, configuring OSPF in both IPv4 and IPv6, understanding wide-area network technologies, and getting familiar with device management and Cisco licensing.
