International Conference on Civil Engineering and Applications (ICCEA2019) is the first conference of an annual event proposed by the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.
The undergraduate degree offered by the Department of Civil Engineering of University of Moratuwa has the full accreditation of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL). IESL is a full signatory to Washington Accord.
This international conference will have many keynote addresses by well recognized researchers and academics from many parts of the world. Also we have special sessions on selected themes. It is expected to have wide participation by many engineers, architects, and scientists working in Sri Lanka and many other parts of the world and over 80 refereed research papers presented at ICCEA 2019 with many more poster presentations.
We will also have a wide participation of undergraduate and post graduate students of Sri Lankan universities who will be invited to participate with full sponsorship. It is hoped that this annual event will be a key attraction and opportunity for many leading researchers in the world to share their latest research findings with the vibrant research community of Sri Lankan Universities having a total of ten engineering faculties (State funded and private universities with IESL and University Grants Commission (UGC) recognition).
Sri Lanka, which is often considered as paradise island of Asia, has plenty of wonderful tourist attractions and it is hoped that this conference will be a great opportunity to have an extended summer holiday for the researchers of northern hemisphere (a winter holiday for those from southern hemisphere).
