Library, University of Moratuwa organized a seminar on "How to publish Research Articles in an International Scholarly Journal” with the collaboration of Emerald Publishing Limited the main provider of the Emerald database. Mr. Debapriya Mukherjee and Mr. Biju Ganesan were the resource persons from Emerald Publishing Limited (India).

The seminar was held on 15th May 2012, at Library Auditorium from 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.

Library, University of Moratuwa organized a seminar on “"How to use ScienceDirect with its new features and functionalities" with the collaboration of Elsevier Science and Technology Group, the provider of the ScienceDirect database. The resource person was Mr. Manik Sethi, Customer Development Manager of Elsevier-Science and Technology (India).

The seminar was conducted on 10th May 2012 at Library Auditorium from 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.

To commemorate the World Children's Day, Library University of Moratuwa in collaboration with Sumudu Preschool organized a pageant . To highlight 2015 theme "Protect us with Love" kids walked through the campus premises eagerly and happily.

Outreach Services Division of Library, University of Moratuwa in collaboration with "Janasetha Kala Ketha" Public Library Moratuwa organized an awareness programme about the Public Library Systems of Moratuwa for students of Bodhiraja Vidyalaya and their parents on Thursday 8th October, 2015.

Library is conducting a 5-week basic information literacy programme for first year students of Faculty of Engineering in order to enhance skills in searching, retrieving and applying information for academic and career development. This programme offers awareness on UoM Library

Reading Camp in Bodhiraja Vidyalaya started for year 2016 on Thursday, 2nd February. To promote creative writing among students of grade 3, 4 and 5 Library Staff conducted a successful workshop on story writing under the guidance

Library, University of Moratuwa organized an introductory session on “"How to use Scopus Database with its new features and functionalities" with the collaboration of Elsevier Science and Technology Group, the provider of Scopus database.

In collaboration with Pre-Academic Coordination Committee of Faulty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Library conducts Orientation Programme for 2016 intake. Altogether 906 students will be taking part in Library Orientation
